The power of PRAYER
Been reading the book of Esther in the bible and I would like to share with you what I learnt.
Now after Haman had plotted to kill the Jews because of Mordecai refusal to bow down to him,Mordecai asked Esther to approach the king but Esther was reluctant because one could not just appear before the king like that,that could result in death (Esther vrs 4:10-11)
However,Esther decided to pray and fast because she understood that the effectual fervent prayer of the righteous availath much.After 3 days of prayer and fasting,Esther now went to see the king and one would ask why now?I want to believe that within that 3 days,God had given Esther a PLAN of ACTION and not just that but also GUIDELINES on exactly how to execute that plan.If not how could Esther have thought of such a crafty way to get Naaman exposed?
Another thing I believe Esther received was the spirit of BOLDNESS,bible says''For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline''.(2 Timothy 1: 17) and so within those 3 days God was preparing Esther for the plan .God was also pruning and shaping her.
Lastly, I also want to beleive God gave her favor,Favor before kings and princes and we all know what the favor of God does.It takes you to places we hither to could not have gone.
In addition to all these, Esther was willing and obedient to the leading of the Holy spirit and so when God gave her the plan,she got straight to work.Maybe w are in the situation where we don't know what to do but as we pray and fast,God will give us a plan of action,boldness and favor and when he does let us be obedient and follow to the latter.God is willing and always speaking to us but sometimes our minds are already made up.
Let us begin to ask God to give us a plan of action for our lives,remember God is concerned with every aspect of our lives and he is ready to help us only when we call and listen to what he has to say.
